Is there a Difference between an On Line and Off Line Relationship?

The only difference is that the typical on line relationship has that extra step, like a transition, that can make the eventual, anticipated meeting in-person just a little easier.  The step I am talking about usually involves an initial correspondence achieved via the use of email.

Sometimes, using email allows our personality to show through even better than a face-to-face meeting because we are not intimidated the way we sometimes can be during a physical meeting.  I mean everybody is a little self-conscious about their appearance to some degree.  This is just human nature, but there is no reason to feel this way because the other person is usually experiencing those same feelings.
